While practicing medicine has been a dream of mine since I was a young child, arriving at pediatrics specifically was a deliberate and conscious decision. I have always loved working with children and adolescents, from babysitting the neighborhood kids to working as a science mentor to young junior high school girls in my college years. During medical school, I considered other specialties, but the pediatricians I worked with increased my interest in pursuing a specialty working with children. Their lifelong passion and enthusiasm for their chosen field and their dedication to the health and well being of children inspired me.
My family arrived in Chicago through a meandering path, but it is the city that I love the best and now proudly consider home. I love to bike or walk by the lake with my dog Cooper as well as explore the Art Institute or watch the latest play. When I am not in Chicago, wanderlust has led me to explore many cities and countries through the lens of my camera. I also snowboard and was a foil fencer.
My years at Southwest Pediatrics have been enriching, both professionally and personally, and I look forward to serving you and your children for years to come.
